Oxford police responded to the following calls: 18 suspicious activities, four reported DUI drivers, fourteen alarms, four disturbances, five petit larcenies, five ambulance assists, three malicious mischiefs, eight illegally parked cars, 11 noise violations, counterfeit currency, Fire Dept. assist, three auto burglaries – Faulkner Flats, civil matter, code violation, recovered property, two complaints, two 911 hang ups, embezzlement, motorist assist, obstructing traffic, credit card fraud
Oxford police investigated 21 wrecks, issued 119 Traffic Citations and made 55 arrests on the following charges:

Friday, August 19
Four vehicle stops, EMS requested due to intoxicated person, malicious mischief, assist with traffic, vehicle accident on Fraternity Row
Saturday, August 20
Three motor vehicle accidents at Pittman Hall, Sorority Row and Whirlpool Building, three vehicle stops, suspicious vehicle, one moving violation per possession of paraphernalia, suspended license, not implied consent, and improper equipment
Sunday, August 21
Five vehicle stops, two malicious mischiefs, trespassing, a report of a motor vehicle accident

Smoke detector activation at 8:24 a.m. due to steam from cleaning a grill at Captain D’s
Smoke detector activation at 11:32 a.m. due to workers at 429 Turnberry Court
Vehicle wreck at 12:08 p.m. with EMS assistance at Highway 7 North Mississippi Regional Center
A stand by at 1:55 p.m. for a chlorine tank change at Winchester
Fire alarm at 3:46 p.m. pulled by a child at A Great American Cookie
A stand by at 11:29 p.m. for EMS at 327 Ridgewood Manor

Smoke detector malfunction at 3:55 a.m. at North Residential College
Smoke detector malfunction at 9:30 a.m. at Hermitage Gardens
Fire alarm at 9:44 a.m. but no cause was found at Guyton Hall
Smoke detector activation at 1:11 p.m. due to using a shop vac at 212 Country Club Road
Smoke detector activation at 1:12 p.m. due to cooking at Captain D’s
Smoke detector activation at 6:47 p.m. due to grilling outside where smoke came inside and activated at 3809 Majestic Oaks
Sunday, August 21
Smoke detector malfunction at 5:45 a.m. at North Residential College
Fire alarm at 4:02 p.m. due to a prank in the pool area at the Turner Center
Canceled call at 5:02 p.m. at 500 Troon Road.
