Do’s And Don’ts For The First Week At Ole Miss
DO: Get to campus 30 minutes early if you want a parking spot.
DON’T: Go to Chick-fil-A in the Union between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., unless you want to wait in a line so long you can’t even tell where it begins or ends.
DO: Get to class 10 minutes early to avoid having to sit on the ground or getting stuck in a bad seat for the rest of the year.
DON’T: Get your books before you have been to all your classes. Sometimes teachers change the requirements, or they will tell you to not buy an access code and save you $100.
DO: Rent your books if your tight on $.
DON’T: Text in the front row or the professor REALLY will kick you out of class. No warning, this is not a drill. Don’t do it… trust me it is super embarrassing.
DO: And I can’t stress this enough, STOP for pedestrians. If you are new here, you need to know that pedestrians have the right-a-way. (maybe this “do” will save a life)
Lastly DON’T: Not even for a second park where you are not supposed to. I’m telling you those parking people don’t play; they seriously have some crazy radar for someone leaving a car in a no parking zone, even if you are only parked there for two minutes… They will find you, and they will ticket you.
