Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, August 3 – Commercial Burglary, Intoxicated Driver
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six suspicious activities, five alarms, two welfare concerns, a motorist assist, a disturbance, a fire department assist, a 911 hang up call, and a false pretense.
Oxford police investigated three wrecks, issued 22 traffic citations and made four arrests on the following charges:
One headlight, no driver’s license and DUI
Possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Schedule IV narcotics
Careless driving, no driver’s license, no insurance, possession of Schedule II narcotics and DUI
One headlight, no insurance, suspended driver’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: six service calls, five suspicious activities, two alarms, two animal complaints, two disturbances, two transportations, a harassment, a malicious mischief, a welfare concern, a scam, a call about a fire, a follow-up and a commercial burglary (Abbeville)
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made one arrest on the following charges:
Two counts of commercial burglary
University police responded to the following incidents: one vehicle stop on Hill Drive, an intoxicated driver at Turner Center, a service call for an ambulance at Bishop Hall, and a vehicle wreck at Cross Street.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: smoke detector malfunction at 2:49 p.m. at 2232 Lee Loop.
