Oxford Crime Report: Monday, August 1 – Broken Coin Machines, Code Violation
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: seven alarms, five suspicious activities, three petit larcenies, two welfare concerns, an ambulance assist, a lost property, a credit card fraud, a uttering forgery, a 911 hang up call, a shoplifting and a code violation.
Oxford police invesitgated seven wrecks, issued 27 traffic citations and made four arrests on the following calls:

Shoplifting
No seatbelt and no driver’s license
Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: three service calls, two transportations, two welfare concerns, two follow-ups, an alarm, a disturbance, a petit larceny, a harassment, a juvenile complaint, a malicious mischief, a suspicious activity, a civil matter and a residential burglary (County Road 496).
University police responded to the following incidents: five vehicle stops, two coin machines broken into at Lamar Hall and Shoemaker Hall, a speeding on Intramural Field Road, and an improper passing on Intramural Field Road.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a water flow alarm at 8:12 a.m. due to workers working on the system at The Domain.
