Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, July 19 – Lost Dog, First Aid
Oxford police responded to the following calls: six suspicious activities, three alarms, three ambulance assists, two welfare concerns, a reported DUI driver, a lost dog, an uttering forgery, a grand larceny and a motorist assist.
Oxford police investigated three wrecks, issued 29 traffic citations and made four arrests on the following charges:
Shoplifting
Possession of marijuana
No insurance and DUI (wreck)
Ran a red light, suspended driver’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI
Lafayette sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: four disturbances, three alarms, three animal complaints, three transportations, two civil matters, two accidents, two service calls, a domestic violence, a harassment, a suspicious activity, a scam, a credit card fraud and a follow-up.
Lafayette sheriff’s department made one arrest on the following charge: domestic violence – simple assault.
University police department responded to the following incidents: six vehicle stops, a speeding with an expired driver’s license on Intramural Field Road, and a vehicle accident at Longstreet Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector activation at 10:37 a.m. caused by an a/c motor burning up at East Side Rebel Club
First aid at 11:59 a.m. due to a band member having difficulty breathing at Oxford Middle School
Cancelled call at 4:14 p.m. at The Domain
Medical assistance at 5:44 p.m. at Jefferson Avenue and Bramlett Boulevard – Battalion Chief saw a female runner down who hurt her hip but she refused an ambulance and was taken to ER by her friend.
