Oxford Crime Report: Monday, July 18 – Counterfeit Currency, Trash Dump
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: eight suspicious activities, four alarms, three 911 hang-up calls, two welfare concerns, harassing phone calls, a reported DUI driver, a lost property, a motorist assist, a counterfeit currency, an illegally parked car, a stalking, a malicious mischief and an animal complaint.
Oxford police investigated eight wrecks, issued 24 traffic citations and made one arrest for a simple assault.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: five civil matters, three disturbances, three harassments, three service calls, two animal complaints, two suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, two transportations, an accident, a trash dumping and a follow-up.
University police responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops, a suspicious vehicle at Martin Hall, and a petit larceny on Fraternity Row.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: duct detector malfunction at 9:25 a.m. in the elevator lobby at East Side Rebel Club.
