Oklahoma quarterback Jack Diamond committed to Ole Miss and will walk on to the team, Dave Bevan (with) Rebels 247 reports.

“I just love the (Ole Miss) coaches and the people in Oxford,” Diamond told Rebels247. “I’m planning to walk-on there, but I am hoping for a scholarship. I am also hoping to graduate high school early and hopefully arrive at Ole Miss in January.”

Diamond is not rated on 247Sports and will walk on to the team, as he said.

The 6-foot-1, 187-pound quarterback prospect from Shawnee, Okla., had interest from Memphis and Arkansas in addition to Ole Miss.

Because Diamond is a walk on, he does not count for recruiting rankings.

A terrific get for coach Freeze!! Strange how the Cheatah’s recruiting has plummeted, with the NCAA snooping around. Where are all those 5 star recruits? Last ranking I saw, had the Cheatah’s class ranked 30th, sandwiched between Iowa St. and Coastal Carolina. If they do get the two year bowl ban, which most think they will, it’ll take place in 2018 and 2019. Patterson will be a senior by then. Can you say transfer?

Jealous. Amazing how the dumb dogs are concerned about Ole Miss. Ole Miss never seems to even know the udder school exists. Class over crass.
