Oxford Crime Report for Tuesday, June 28 – Residential Burglary, Domestic Violence
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: seven suspicious activities, five alarms, two welfare concerns, two motorist assists, an illegally parked car, an animal complaint, a petit larceny, a simple assault and a 911 hang up call.
Oxford police investigated two wrecks, issued 19 traffic citations, and made nine arrests on the following charges:

(2) Public intoxication
(2) Careless driving and DUI
DUI
Warrant served
Domestic violence
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: four service calls, three scams, three trespassing, three animal complaints, three information calls, two suspicious activities, an accident, a simple assault, an alarm, an auto burglary, a residential burglary at County Road 427, a juvenile complaint, a welfare concern, a civil matter, a follow-up, and a reckless driver.
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made two arrests on the following charges:
Trespassing and petit larceny
Warrant for felony shoplifting
University police responded to the following incidents: a vehicle stop on Intramural Field Road, a suspicious vehicle at Campus Walk, an accidental hit and run at Delta Psi house, an accidental hit and run at Beta Theta Pi house, a petit larceny at J.D. Williams Library, a fire alarm at Croft Institute and a simple assault with disturbance at Campus Walk.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Public assistance by installing a fire alarm at 112 South 16th Street
Fire alarm at the Ole Miss Golf Course
