Ole Miss has received five football commitments over the past two weeks, including two heralded linebackers.

The Rebels garnered a commitment from Josh Clarke, a Jefferson, Louisiana native, on June 13. Clarke is a 6’1 211-pound linebacker and is a three star prospect according to Rivals.com. Clarke will provide the Rebels with versatility as he will be able to play both linebacker positions for the Rebels.

Three days later Ole Miss got a commitment from four-star linebacker Willie Gay. Gay is a native of Starkville, and he is the second prospect that Ole Miss was able to get a commitment from in as many years from Starkville.

On the same day, Devin Rockette of Oxford committed to the Rebels. Rockette is a three-star defensive back. Rockette has speed to burn, and could factor into the Ole Miss lineup rather quickly.

Defensive end Rasool Clemons re-committed to the Rebels last Monday, June 20. Clemons originally committed to the Rebels out of high school, but was unable to qualify. Clemons is a three-star defensive end prospect that is currently at East Mississippi Community College. Clemons frame would provide depth at the defensive end position, where Ole Miss will lose senior Fadol Brown and likely first-round draft pick Marquis Haynes after the 2016 season.

Ole Miss received its latest commitment from three-star offensive lineman Lavonte Epson. Epson is 6’3” 285 pounds. Epson plays at Washington Academy in Greenville.

Ole Miss’ signing class is ranked only 41st in the country by Rivals.com, but the Rebels only have ten commitments at the time.
