Memorial Day has long been known as remembering those who have fallen. Let us not forget, in order to fall, one had to be standing. Memorial Day is about the courage, the honor, the passion and, most importantly, the love someone had for you, whom they didn’t even know. Memorial Day is remembering someone who gave his or her life so that you could live yours, someone who gave his or her life so that you knew what freedom meant and what it costs. Take time today to thank and honor every soldier who stood for you by giving his or her life. It was done selflessly and in bravery, and should, furthermore, be honored. Not for the sake of their own families or even the sake of this nation, but they should be honored because they gave all for you.
