Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, May 18 – Possession of Schedule I Narcotics
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: eight welfare concerns, four alarms, three suspicious activities, three complaints of lost property, two animal complaints, two petit larcenies, a disturbance, a grand larceny, a 911 hang up call, an ambulance assist, and a burglary at S. 15th Street.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 24 traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges:

(2) Possession of Schedule I narcotics
Possession of fake ID
Reckless driving and DUI
Careless driving, possession of marijuana and DUI
Careless driving, no insurance, running a stop sign and DUI
University police responded to the following incidents: four vehicle stops, a petit larceny at Stockard Hall, an ambulance assist at Holman Hall, and a hit and run at Turner Center.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector activation at 1:29 p.m. due to cutting sheet rock at Phi Kappa Alpha
Assistance call at 2:17 p.m. to install a smoke detector at 632 Piedmont Drive
Smoke detector malfunction at 2:32 p.m. at 800 College Hill Road
