The Ole Miss Alumni Association recently issued its “Ole Miss Rebel Traveler” featuring three trips around the world for this summer for June.
The Alumni Association offers many one-of-a-kind trips for the Ole Miss alumni to obtain group rates and discounts.
From June 8 to 16, the alumni can see Scotland’s Inner Hebridean, Orkney and Shetland Islands as well as Norway’s coastal fjords and enjoy a cruise from Glasgow to Copenhagen aboard M.S. Le Boréal. Highlights of the trip include The Jacobite steam train through Scottish Highlands, the Callanish Stones on Isle of Lewis, a special presentation by a local archaeologist in Neolithic Orkney and a tour of Bryggen in Bergen. Later on from June 15 to 24, the alumni will visit the Baltic States on a six-country, eight-night Baltic Sea cruise. On this cruise, former president of Poland Lech Walesa and Brown University professor Sergei N. Khrushchev (son of Nikita Khrushchev, former Premier of the U.S.S.R.) will present educational insight on the region. The trip highlights include visits from Copenhagen, Denmark to Stockholm, Sweden to Gda’nsk, Poland to Tallin, Estonia to Helsinki, Finland and Visby Sweden. Lastly, from June 22 to July 1, the alumni can tour the West in America on this 10-day trip. The alumni can learn about Old West as they see monuments of Badlands National Park, Custer State Park, Spearfish Canyon, Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park – all while “traveling comfortably in a private motor coach.” For more information, visit “National Parks and Lodges of the Old West” on Ole Miss Alumni Association website.
