Bramlett Elementary School Round Up Set for Monday, May 16
Oxford’s youngest students will have a chance to preview their new school before they start school next year.
Bramlett Elementary School Round Up will be held Monday, May 16, 2016, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Bramlett Elementary School, 225 Bramlett Boulevard in Oxford, for all incoming prekindergarten (pre-K) and kindergarten students and their families.
Students and parents can tour the school, meet school teachers, and explore all the fun learning opportunities Bramlett Elementary School will offer for the 2016-2017 school year.
BES Principal Suzanne Ryals says the come-and-go event makes for a very comfortable first experience and connection between future students and the school.
“The children visit a classroom and interact with each other while parents learn about the next year’s curriculum and also what skills they can practice at home with their children before school starts,” said Ryals.
As a reminder, parents are encouraged to complete the registration process for any child entering kindergarten through second grade next school year. Children entering K-2 during the 2016-2017 school year are not considered an enrolled student in the Oxford School District unless their student registration is complete. Parents who have questions about their child’s student registration status can call the Oxford School District Student Registration Office at (662) 513-8111.
