Double Decker Flashback: Michael Franti & Spearhead ‘Shot’ by Stanton
Local freelance photographer Mike Stanton gets around… especially to the surplus of amazing festivals Oxford and Ole Miss host on an annual basis.
The 2016 version of the Double Decker Arts Festival certainly qualified and Stanton was on hand with his ever-present Canon in tow.
By the look of Stanton’s awesome gallery (attached), taking him up on his offer to cover the Double Decker evening music lineup was – in a word – brilliant on the part of HottyToddy.com; and most definitely for Double Decker’s last set on Saturday – Michael Franti & Spearhead.
Franti & Spearhead proved to be not only talented; but energetic, positive and crowd-friendly as well (evidenced by these great shots).
Yes, yes… we know – Double Decker 2016 is over but the memories via photos and social media keep pouring in – and, as long as they do – we’ll keep pouring them out for you to consume and enjoy.
After all, it’s a long time until late-April 2017 Double Decker but not a “Long time since I rock ‘n’ rolled.”
