The 2016 Double Decker Arts Festival is Off and Running
WOW! What a night on the historic Oxford Square.
The 2016 Double Decker Arts Festival presented by Caterpillar is off and running – and with perfect weather, an unprecedented Friday night crowd danced, swayed and laughed along with Thacker Mountain Radio, Jim Dees, Kathryn McGaw York, Memphian Eric Lewis and the rest of the Yalobushwhackers, Southaven musician Cory Branan and a very energetic Austin, Texas soul band, The Nightowls.
Oxford’s favorite festival continues today with the Double Decker Spring Run 5K/10K starting from Mid-town Shopping Center at 7:30 and then the much-anticipated 10 a.m. opening of Oxford Square’s proverbial gates featuring a plethora of local and regional artists, food vendors and a top-heavy music schedule on the Ole Miss Sports Stage.
Enough said. Time to rise and shine, slather on the SPF-30, grab your shades, wallet and kids and head to the Oxford Square for the 2016 version of Oxford’s Double Decker Arts Festival.
Title sponsor, Caterpillar, graciously presents this year’s event – No. 21 and counting.
