Double Decker Best Dressed Dog Contest Will Tickle Your Fancy
The City of Oxford and Visit Oxford are hosting the 21st annual Double Decker Arts Festival, presented by Caterpillar, April 22 to 23.
Saturday morning festivities kicked off at 7:30 a.m. with a 5k/10k run.
At 10:30 a.m., the best dressed pet competition began. From dogs in dresses to dogs in tutus, there’s nothing these pet owners didn’t do to ensure their pet would win this competition.
The best dressed competition was hosted by The Shelter, a coffee shop under Neilson’s Department Store. The categories included petite, medium-sized and “we don’t discriminate.”
The best dressed pet category includes dogs and a ferret.
The second runner-up was Hermione and Harry Potter; the first runner-up was Be-Be, the nursing Double Decker and the winner was a AT-AT with its owner dressed as Princess Leia from “Star Wars.”
All contestants left with a prize!
