The Ole Miss Rebels began their weekend triple header against the Arkansas Razorbacks with a 7-3 win Friday night at Swayze Field. #14 Ole Miss grabs their twenty-third victory of the season, giving them a 23-7 record.

Seven runs Ole Miss had for the night were earned in the first four innings, pushing the Rebels out in front early in the game. But more impressive than the Rebel’s hitting was their performance from the pitching mound by Brady Bramlett. Bramlett’s consistency from the mound took the pressure off Ole Miss batters and put it onto the Razorbacks, making them uncomfortable hitting during the contest.

It didn’t take long for the redshirt junior from Bartlett, TN to get into his groove. Bramlett stuck out three of the four batters in the top of the 1st inning and gave up only one hit, one of three hits he would allow for the entire night. Bramlett’s hot hand struck out nine more Arkansas batters before he was relieved in the top of the 8th inning.

Ole Miss looks to continue their superb play in both facets of the game for their second match of the three game series against Arkansas. The Rebels play 7 p.m. CT Saturday night at Swayze Field. Other than mid 40-degree nightly weather forecasted for Saturday night’s game, no chance of rain will make for another relaxing Rebel ballgame.
