On its final season run, American Idol announced last night that the top two singers left on American Idol are two Mississippians: Trent Harmon, from Amory, and La’Porsha Renae, from McComb.

The series finale ends tonight, after two previous nights of Idol memories and songs, and fans will name either Trent or La’Porsha as the 15th, and final, American Idol.

Rebel fans represent Ole Miss at American Idol on March 31, 2016.

The winner of American Idol will win a record deal with an Idol-affiliated record label. It is no doubt that Mississippi will be hearing more music from Trent and La’Porsha no matter who wins the finale, as they both prove to be phenomenal entertainers with incredible vocal ranges.

Remember to watch American Idol tonight at 7 p.m. CT. Previous American Idol winners such as Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia, Jordan Sparks, Taylor Hicks, Colton Dixon, Clay Aiken, Kellie Pickler and many more will make special appearances on the grand finale before host Ryan Secrest announces Trent or La’Porsha as the final American Idol winner.

Congratulations Trent and La’Porsha! You have made Mississippi proud!
