The downtown area is a real treat with shops; restaurants; hotels; and the Clinton Presidential Library as a bonus. Little Rock still has a small town feel as the traffic will not overwhelm you.

Mountain Home, Arkansas
A diamond in the rough! Talk about fishing options and natural beauty, this tourist destination is a living Norman Rockwell postcard as the wildlife, mountain trails and river scenes are never ending.

Nashville, Tennessee
Only a four-hour drive away, the possibilities are endless for having a great time. And if you’re a fan of sports, history or music, the choices are even greater. The restaurants are quite diverse and the hotel selections are numerous. The “Athens of the South” has the most beautiful neighborhood to be found in April in Belle Meade. If you’re a doubting Thomas, check it out.

The Shiloh Battlefield
For those interested in Civil War history, this is one of the most interesting places to discover or rediscover. What occurred there some 154 years ago is still difficult to absorb. It’s anything but boring!
