Picture this: a workout program that consists of eating anything and barely any exercise, and promises weight loss in less than five days. This is a common gimmick that is portrayed in many weight loss supplements and commercials, but what if there was a better way? What if there was a healthy way to not only lose the weight in a timely manner, but have the support system to back it up? The Pit Program does just that.

At the young age of 21, Ole Miss Student Kendrick Pittman tries his hand at personal training. Pittman has designed a program for beginners, who like himself, not only want to lose weight, but want a motivating program that will help keep the weight off.

“Personal gains grown together are better for results,” Pittman said.

Pittman’s program “The Pit” was built to help the clients lose weight alongside the trainer. Workout circuits and personal trainers can be intimidating, which got Pittman thinking about developing a program.

Pittman’s unconventional training technique is designed to build a strong relationship with his clients. Not only will they motivate each other, but Pittman and his clients will be undergoing the program together.

“I was motivated to do this program, because I was out of shape,” Pittman said. “In order to do better, it has to start with yourself.”

The Pit Program is designed for each individual to customize eating and workout habits. The first month consists of each client and Pittman setting a goal, and a list of foods from Pittman’s recommended food list given to the client.

Clients can view and purchase Pittman's products on his website.

The program will begin with a group weigh in and a “before” photo. Within the first month of the program, each client will learn discipline and how to live a more healthy and active lifestyle.

Je’Monda Roy, an Ole Miss Student and client, explains how the program has been beneficial to her life.

“Prior to the Pit Program, I wasn’t really interested in exercising,” Roy said. “The program is a good way to keep me active without any pressures. It’s like working out with your friends.”

The Pit Program is still a work in progress, but with determination, Pittman and clients plan to meet the healthy goals.

“I hope in doing this program, not only will I motivate others but I want people to have something to look forward to,” Pittman said.

I purchased 3 Week Diet program (http://tinyurl.com/TheThreeWeekLoseWeight) before Christmas and started it on January 21. I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I’ve lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I’m just concerned that I’m losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven’t followed the guide exactly. I’m not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off. It truly feels like magic!
