The Blake at Oxford Hosts Grand Opening Tonight
The newest retirement facility that Oxford has to offer is holding a Grand Opening, today from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Director of sales Laura Barber said, “All who enjoy good food and drink, gracious surroundings and beautiful music are invited to celebrate with The Blake.”
The primary goal for this event is to showcase the finest in assisted living and memory care. Families who are interested in the retirement home can enjoy several amenities that The Blake has to offer.
“No one can understand what The Blake has to offer until they come through our doors,” Barber said. “We are one-of-a-kind and proud to be a part of The Oxford Commons.”
The Blake’s COO, Glenn Barclay, believed that senior living should be so much more than what he was seeing offered to residents. Barclay said The Blake should be committed to excellence by creating a resort feel, while assuring security and a peace of mind.
Residents at The Blake can enjoy beautifully appointed, spacious apartments, daily housekeepers and a variety of activities, along with a superior team of nurses who are on site 24 hours a day to provide constant care.
“We are thrilled to have executive chef Damien Cavvichi, once executive chef of the Biltmore Estate, creating our menus and leading the culinary team,” Barclay said.
Oxford resident Ida Jane Cole said The Blake is the perfect place to advertise to her grandparents.
“This kind of living is so unique and a one-of-a-kind for Oxford,” Cole said. “I would feel comfort knowing my family members were in this great quality of care.”
The Blake is licensed by the state of Mississippi for assisted living. Many of the residents can enjoy retirement living with no assistance; however, should they need assistance, it is readily available upon request.
The Blake is located at 110 Ed Perry Boulevard.
