Frame Up Offers Beautiful Frames, Original Artwork on Square for 34 Years
Frame Up is a store located on the Square that offers framing services and sells original artwork and pottery from Oxford locals. It is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
In 1982, a school teacher at Lafayette High School wanted a way to make more money, so she opened a frame shop on the Square. It has stayed open for 34 years. New owner, Tommy Cribbs, bought Frame Up one and a half years ago and says he loves his job.
“I’ve worked here for 16 years, went to school at Ole Miss and got a job at Frame up when I was a student, and I just never wanted to leave,” said Cribbs.
Beautiful frames line the walls of the store, and there is no shortage of selection for customers. There is always someone working at the front desk to offer excellent customer service and give advice on everything related to framing. In addition to the hundreds of frames offered, there is also an art gallery.
“Primarily we do picture framing, but we also sell prints and have a gallery downstairs with original artwork and pottery,” said Cribbs, describing the services offered by his store.
Not only do Oxford locals chose Frame Up as their first choice for their framing needs, but so several celebrities of the area. Many famous people are loyal to Frame Up for pictures of themselves and their families.
“I’ve done work for Morgan Freeman, Eli Manning, and Joey Lauren Adams. They are all great people to work with,” said Cribbs.
Frame Up is a quaint store with a big selection of beautiful frames to appeal to every taste and style.
