Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, March 22
Lonnie Bogard – Harassment
On Tuesday, March 22, Oxford police investigators charged Lonnie Bogard (38 of Abbeville) with Cyberstalking/Email Threats and Harassment (97-45-15). Bogard harassed his former girlfriend after he was arrested this January for Domestic Violence. His bond was set at $2,500.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: five alarms, five suspicious activities, four careless drivers, two disturbances, two welfare concerns, a lost property, a motorist assist, and a petit larceny.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 85 traffic citations and made two arrests on the following charges:
Malicious mischief
Careless driving, warrant served and DUI
University police responded to the following incidents: five vehicle stops, a cyberstalking at Guyton Hall, a suspicious vehicle in Kincannon Field Lot and a vehicle accident at Ford Center.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Car fire at 4:19 p.m. in Winchester parking lot – the County unit extinguished the fire
Grease fire at 6:35 p.m. at 504 Mary Ann Cove – the fire went out before the department’s arrival
