Spend Easter In The Grove With The Orchard Church, Wesley Foundation
The Orchard Church and the Wesley Foundation are hosting a Easter service in the Grove at Ole Miss on Sunday, March 27 at 11 a.m.
The Orchard Church Pastor, Pat Ward, is estimating about 1,500 to 2,000 people to gather in the Grove to celebrate the Christ’s resurrection.
“Though it’s led by The Orchard and the UM Wesley Foundation, it’s for everyone,” Pastor Ward said. “Many people will bring blankets or chairs, and some people bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the grove after the service.”
According to Pastor Ward, the Easter service will consist of music, an Easter message, lots of people and a large sound system for everyone in the Grove to hear the message.
In case of rain, the services will be moved to the Orchard Church on Highway 7 North at 11 a.m.
Other Holy Week events with the Orchard Church include a Good Friday service at 5:30 p.m. on March 25, and a Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 27. Both services will be held at the Orchard Church.
Ole Miss Football Coach, Hugh Freeze, enjoyed the Easter service last year at the Grove:
