Oxford Students Assist at State Capitol

Patricia Hughes and Pope Mallette, both of Oxford, recently served as pages for the Mississippi House of Representatives.
Pages generally run errands for officials and House staff. Patricia is the daughter of Jay and Cris Hughes and attends Oxford Middle School.
When asked about the week, Patricia said, “It was such a wonderful experience to page for the Mississippi House of Representatives! It was a great time to get to see my dad in action of the House floor!”
Pope is the son of Pope and Liza Mallette and attends Oxford Middle School.
When asked about the week, Pope said, “This opportunity to page in the House of Representatives has been a great experience. I have learned so much about our government and met so many wonderful people. I would like to thank Representative Hughes for this opportunity.”
