TJ Ray: Signs of Things to Come at Sardis Lake Spillway
Spring officially begins this Sunday and HottyToddy.com’s multi-talented photo contributor, TJ Ray, thought he’d share a gallery of images taken previously at the Sardis Lake spillway as a preview of things to come in the upcoming months.
The spillway – only about 20 minutes away from the heart of Oxford – has a plethora of photo opportunities, but is only one of many outlets for recreationalists to enjoy on the mammoth-sized lake just north of Oxford.
My question is – since my angling experience is exactly zero – are there any BIG fish in our BIG lake to the north – or did Dr. Ray just catch these folks on a day when they were simply fishing for bait?
Feel free to correct my ignorance on the issue by sending all of your fishing photos (big or small) to HottyToddyPhotos@gmail.com or message us on our Facebook page: If You Love Oxford, MS, and Ole Miss.
As always, we at HottyToddy.com appreciate Dr. Ray’s diligence and encourage everyone in the world to flock to Off Square Books on Tuesday, March 29, at 5 p.m. as he is set to read from and sign his new book, Side By Side: Moonshine and Murder is Mississippi. After all, he’s almost as respectable as a writer as he is a photographer. Almost.
Dr. TJ Ray is a retired professor from the Ole Miss English department. These days, he’s a columnist, HottyToddy.com contributor and semi-professional photographer shooting all thing Oxford and Lafayette County. He can be reached by email at tjmaryjo@bellsouth.net
