16th Annual Ole Miss Ladies Football Forum Set for July 23
The sixteenth annual Ole Miss Ladies Football Forum will be held on July 23 on the university campus. This forum is for women who are interested in learning more about college football, particularly Ole Miss Football.
The day will start at 7:30 a.m. at the Olivia and Archie Manning Center. For the duration of the day, the ladies will spend time at the Ole Miss football facilities with coaches, staff and players learning how the team recruits, practices and prepares for games. There will also be special presentations throughout the day.

Megan McCurdy, the camp director of the forum, explains how the forum helps ladies gain better knowledge of the game. According to McCurdy, the forum changes things up each year, but some techniques they have used to teach the women about football are going over film with the coaches, watching the players demonstrate different techniques for each position and breaking down football terminology.
The forum usually attracts around 400 ladies each year, but this year’s forum is expecting close to 500 participants. The Ole Miss Ladies Football Forum costs $150 on registration before May 1 or $175 on registration after May 1. The package includes a t-shirt to wear that day and a name-tag along with a complimentary lunch, cookbook and a special gift. The ladies will also have an opportunity to take a photo with Coach Hugh Freeze that they can take home at the end of the day!
McCurdy says the forum gives ladies a unique opportunity to get to know the players and coaches, giving them a special connection to the Ole Miss football team. Megan also explains that the forum is a lot of fun and she encourages all women to come.
“It is an eye opener to see what the team does to prepare for football season,” she said.
