This past weekend, the Ole Miss baseball team returned to the diamond on the Swayze Field to face the Grambling State Tigers in a three-game series. The Rebels swept all three games.
As a club, the diamond Rebels scored a total of 28 runs over the weekend. On Friday night, coach Mike Bianco got his 700th career victory and his 600th here at Ole Miss, thus moving the Rebels to a 15-1 mark on the season.
The Rebels have moved up in the polls from being No. 13 in the nation to as high as ninth according to D1 Baseball. In Baseball America the Rebels are 12th.
Tomorrow and Wednesday, the Diamond Rebels are traveling to face University of Alabama-Birmingham for a midweek series. This weekend, SEC is opening up conference play so the Ole Miss baseball team will head up to Knoxville, Tennessee to tangle with the Vols.
