Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, March 1
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four suspicious activities, four petit larcenies, three disturbances, two civil matters, two complaints of lost property, two animal complaints, a noise violation, an alarm, a welfare concern, an improper parking, a scam and a shoplifting.
Oxford police investigated 11 wrecks, issued 41 traffic citations and made four arrests on the following charges:
Shoplifting
Careless driving and DUI
Careless driver, ran stop sign, expired tag and DUI
Expired tag, suspended driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia
University police responded to the following incidents: eight vehicle stops and an improperly parked vehicle with possession of alcohol on North Lane.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector malfunction at 1:00 a.m. on the seventh floor of Crosby Hall
Dryer fire at 3:56 a.m. that was extinguished at South Meadows – Apartment 3
Cancelled call at 11:37 a.m. at The Blake
