The Oxford Police Department are warning the public about a scam artist sending text messages to people from a oxfordpolice.net account.
“We will not text you from any OPD accounts,” the OPD Facebook page said, “do not respond to any of those messages.”
OPD said they are currently tracking the account to find who is responsible for the scam.
