Oxford Crime Report: Friday – Sunday, February 26 – 28
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 12 disturbances, 11 alarms, nine suspicious activities, seven improper parking, six careless drivers, six welfare concerns, four malicious mischief, two fire department assists, two complaints of lost properties, two ambulance assists, harassing phone calls, a shoplifting, a recovered property, a trespassing, a noise violation, a motorist assist and a false pretense.
Oxford police investigated 24 wrecks, issued 47 traffic citations and made 32 arrests on the following charges:

Friday, February 26
Vehicle stop on the Grove Loop
Trespassing at Sarah Isom Center
Suspicious vehicle at Khayat Law School
Service call for an ambulance at Residential College
An assist on a sexual battery case – listed as off-campus
Moving violation per not wearing a crash helmet on Grove Loop
Saturday, February 27

Vandalism per malicious mischief at Stockard Hall
Disturbance and disorderly conduct at Alpha Tau Omega house
Disturbance of peace and possession of alcohol by minor at Kappa Sigma house

Saturday, February 27
Unauthorized burning of leaves at 9:36 a.m. at Highway 7 South in the Windsor Fall area
Vent-a-hood malfunction at 12:02 p.m. at Abner’s on West Jackson Avenue
Sunday, February 28
Car fire at 1:01 a.m. that went out before the arrival at 2201 University Avenue area
Smoking electric motor at 7:32 a.m. at Gillion Center
