Tupelo’s Furniture, Gift & Home Accessories Show Almost Sold Out

The Tupelo Furniture Market, one of the largest furniture trade shows in the United States, will again open one of its giant buildings to the public February 25-28.

As of February 15, there is very little exhibit space available, although show management is doing everything they can to try and free up space for companies still looking to participate.

The shopping experience in building one has been dubbed The Furniture, Gift & Home Accessories Show, and it has become an integral part of the Tupelo Furniture Market, which opens Thursday, February 25, and runs through Sunday, February 28.

There are 371 exhibit booth spaces sold, 150 companies participating and 28 showrooms filled with hundreds of furniture brands, home décor items, appliances, jewelry, clothing and other fashion-related products that the public and many of the furniture retailers in attendance will want to purchase. This year’s event will offer incredible discounts on designer hand-bags and shoes, department store and designer brand furniture, estate jewelry, furs, specialty clothing as well as outdoor furniture, grills, mowers and appliances.

“This event provides the perfect venue for furniture store retailers searching for smaller companies that offer unique furniture, home accessories and other items that might round out their inventory,” said Kevin J. Seddon, president of the Tupelo Furniture Market. “Many of these small companies, which often sell hand-crafted furniture and accessories in smaller lots, want to sell to both the trade and the public, and we allow them to do so in building one of our six buildings. Of course, the public is also allowed to attend this event so they also can take advantage of this rare opportunity to take advantage of below retail and wholesale pricing!”

According to Seddon, the first 100 attendees each morning will receive a gift bag with an assortment of items inside each one. All those that attend can register to win a $250 shopping spree, purchase raffle tickets to win a whole house full of furniture, compliments of LQ Furniture, and door prizes will be given away throughout the four-day event.

In addition, a number of parties and entertainment are planned, including the sixth “Sparkles & Spirits” party, and the second Mardi Gras Madness party. Kay Bain and Karly Clayton will entertain Friday as will the ECEC Children’s Singing Group. Wayne Hereford’s band, H2Soul, and Pam Gardner will take the stage on Saturday and Merle Temple will be on hand Thursday and Friday to sign his latest novel, The Redeemed.

The Furniture, Gift & Home Accessories Show runs from Thursday, February 25, through Sunday, February 28. The show’s times are: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday.
