Donald J. Trump supporters of Lafayette County plan to gather at the Powerhouse tonight at 6:30 p.m. for an organizational rally.

The organizational rally is a rescheduled event due to inclement weather in January. According to Steve Vassallo, the event coordinator, the rally is for the purpose of organizing volunteers to campaign for Trump before the Mississippi primary on March 8.

Heather Fox, the state field director for Trump’s campaign, is expected to be at the organizational rally. Vassallo said they are expecting a large number of local residents and Ole Miss students to attend the rally.

Boneheads, a grill in Oxford, is catering the event, but food is on a first come and first serve basis for anyone who wants to come to the organizational rally.

“It’s very easy for people to get up the morning of March 8, and if they’re not thinking presidential politics, they might not go to the polls,” Vassallo said to encourage voters to go to the polls.

HottyToddy.com is continuing to receive information on other rallies and will report as we receive information. So far, we know of one additional rally for Bernie Sanders this Sunday, Feb. 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Yerby Conference Center.
