Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, February 17
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three disturbances, two welfare concerns, two suspicious activities, an ambulance assist, a false pretense, a 911 hang up call, a petit larceny, and an alarm.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 16 traffic citations and made seven arrests on the following charges:
(2) Possessions of drug paraphernalia
Warrant served
Public intoxication
Careless driving and DUI
Possession of drug paraphernalia and warrant served
Leaving the scene of an accident, suspended driver’s license and no insurance
University police department responded to the following incidents: five vehicle stops, a suspicious vehicle in Kincannon field lot, a petit larceny at Turner Center, and a vehicle accident at Residential College.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a smoke detector malfunction at 11:32 a.m. at 619 Piedmont Drive.
