Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, February 16
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: eight alarms, three suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, two noise violations, a disturbance, a careless driving, a malicious mischief, an ambulance assist, a civil matter and a 911 hang up call.
Oxford police investigated two wrecks, issued 43 traffic citations and made six arrests on the following charges:

Careless driving and DUI
One headlight, no tag, no insurance and suspended driver’s license
University police responded to the following incidents: six vehicle stops, a moving violation per improper equipment and no tag on campus, and a service call for an ambulance at Residential College.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Cancelled call at 6:14 p.m. at 1223 Beanland Drive
Smoke detector malfunction at 6:20 p.m. at Chi Omega house
Duct detector malfunction at 8:56 p.m. at Natural Products
