Going… Going… GONE! Winner Winner Chicken Dinner
Don’t say HottyToddy.com didn’t warn you.
The Oxford Film Festival Silent Auction officially began yesterday (Tuesday, February 16) at the Powerhouse and you, the masses, were given fair warning that the auction objects up for grabs were in the realm of amazing and likely wouldn’t be available for an extended period of time.
Case in point: Memphian Richard Warren made the short trek from Bartlett, Tennessee this morning with Star Wars on his mind. An avid, lifelong Trekkie, Warren saw yesterday’s HottyToddy.com post about the auction and decided “what the heck… Oxford isn’t THAT far.”
Rich showed up at the Powerhouse at 10:30 a.m. and, by 11, was the proud owner of the newest Star Wars autographed poster, The Force Awakens. Instead of waiting to take his chance of winning the poster on Sunday night, Warren opted for the “buy now” option… and the rest is history.
Congrats Mr. Warren. Stand tall and be proud of your forethought and prowess of recognizing and grasping the deal of a lifetime… regardless of what your wife, Angela, is going to do to you when you get home.
Hotty Toddy, y’all.
