Oxford Historic Preservation Commission Meets Tonight at City Hall

oxford_city_hall-e1418846369703The Oxford Historic Preservation Commission will have a meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Courtroom.

On the agenda are six public hearing cases for properties on Van Buren Avenue, Madison Avenue, Jefferson Avenue, Lincoln Avenue, 10th Street and 15th street. Topics include the approvals of new construction or additions, new signs and repairs to buildings.

The Historic Preservation Commission oversees the South Lamar District, the Depot District, the Jefferson Madison District and the North Lamar District.

  5. Public hearing for Case #362 – COA for Tyson Bridge for property located on 503 Van Buren Avenue.
  6. Public hearing for Case #363 – COA for Murray Avent for property located at 1404 Madison Avenue.
  7. Public hearing for Case #364 – COA for Paul Chiniche for property located at 1200 Jefferson Avenue.
  8. Public hearing for Case #365 – COA for Andy Howorth for property located at 810 Lincoln Avenue.
  9. Public hearing for Case #366 – COA for JC and Joy Clark for property located at 1507 S. 10th Street.
  10. Public hearing for Case #367 – COA for Kirk and Sara Camp Milam for property located at 425 N. 15th Street.
  11. Approval of amendments to the sign ordinance and design guidelines.
  12. Discussion regarding the possible changes to the (COA) Certificate of Appropriateness application.
