Color My College 5K Race Coming to Ole Miss

Published

on

Color My College 5KPicture it: crimson and navy powder tinting the air with Rebel pride, and in an instant you find yourself sprinting toward the finish line, coated head to toe in your favorite colors.

That’s what you can expect on April 16, when Color My College 5K comes to the Ole Miss campus. The race kicks off at 10 a.m., and runners will follow a route that winds through the entire Ole Miss campus, starting and finishing in The Grove, while getting covered in Rebel red and blue along the way.

This isn’t your average 5K. According to their website, Color My College is “more than just a 5K – it is the Ultimate Celebration of School Spirit!”

Walk, Run or Dance!

You’re probably wondering “What if I don’t run?” Color My College understands that not everyone is able or is willing to run a 5K, but their team ensure you can have fun anyway you’d like.

“Remember, because it’s a fun run, you don’t have to run. Whether you run, walk, crawl, or dance your way down the course, you will be sure to have a blast,” Color My College said.

Registration and Volunteers

Color My College 5K is a proud partner with Ole Miss Campus Recreation to benefit Special Olympics Mississippi.

“A portion of every registration, along with 100 percent of all additional individual donations and 100 percent of all sponsorship funds, will benefit our charity sponsors,” Color My College said.

For those who aren’t interested in running, but are in need of a great way to earn volunteer hours for a club or group, Color My College offers individuals the opportunity to volunteer through Ole Miss Campus Rec.

“Sign up to be a part of our College Color Crew, and we’ll make sure this is the most fun you’ve ever had volunteering,” Color My College website said.

The current early registration fees are $28 for individuals and $24 for students, or $26 for a team of four and $22 for a student team of four. These prices will increase on March 1, and again on April 9, up until the day of the race on April 16.

Each registration fee includes a Color My College logo tee, a packet of premium color powder, a Color My College logo tattoo, new Color My College eye black stickers, and a Color My College cinch sack to hold all your stuff, and even more merchandise can be purchased when you register.

Be sure to register at ColorMyCollege.com and follow them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to keep up to date with registration deadlines, price increases, as well as special race reminders.
