Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, February 4
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, two ambulance assists, two shopliftings, a disturbance, an improper parking, a credit card fraud, a false pretense, a petit larceny, a malicious mischief, a civil matter and an alarm.
Oxford police investigated 13 wrecks, issued 33 traffic citations and made 16 arrests on the following charges:

(2) Careless driving and DUI
Warrant served
Speeding and DUI
One headlight and DUI
Speeding, expired tag and DUI
Suspended driver’s license and no insurance
Careless driving, no driver’s license and DUI
One headlight and possession of drug paraphernalia
Improper equipment, no car insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI
University police responded to the following incidents: one vehicle stop, emergency medical service request at Hefley Hall due to alcohol, a possession of drug paraphernalia at Stockard Hall, a possession of alcohol in Kincannon Hall, a vandalism to vehicle at Pittman Hall, and a traffic detail on Chucky Mullins Drive.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents:
Water flow alarm at 12:37 a.m. at Winchester
Smoke detector malfunction at 9:34 a.m. at Kappa Alpha house
Water flow alarm at 11:58 a.m. at Winchester
