Ole Miss Kids Love Chad Kelly
Many, many Ole Miss fans send great pictures to HottyToddy.com. Some of them even send a little story with their pictures.
Recently, HottyToddy.com received two different pictures with a similar story: these Ole Miss kids love Rebel football quarterback, Chad Kelly!
Lainey Kemp emailed this picture, saying, “This morning in first grade at Oxford Elementary we wrote about who we would want to be if we were famous. Robert Neely in Mrs. Kemp’s class wrote about Chad Kelly. Thought it was fitting for today!! Hotty Toddy!!”
Kasey Moore’s daughter, Stella, echoed this first-grader’s sentiments. Her twin daughters, Sofie and Stella, go to Enterprise Elementary School in Enterprise, Mississippi.
Moore said, “Today is the 100th day of Kindergarten for my two kiddos pictured below. And, as you see, we had to make hats decorated with 100 objects of our choice in honor of this day. Of course, we bleed red and blue in this house and chose an Ole Miss theme. Well…little Miss Determined (Stella, on the right) refused to put the number 100 on the front of her hat – she didn’t care if it was the 100th day of school or not. She was putting the number 10 on her hat because that’s Chad’s number. So, Chad, this one is for you, buddy…”
Moore has been rooting for the Rebels for 32 years now ever since she was five years old. She said she even attended two games while pregnant with her twin daughters.
She said, “Cut me anywhere – I’ll bleed red and blue. I love it – love Oxford.”
Her daughter, Stella, attended her first game in November 2014 to cheer on Ole Miss Rebels against Auburn Tigers. Moore said they cried when Treadwell hurt his ankle so they “prayed and prayed” for him as well as mailing him a Get Well card.
A month later, Stella was diagnosed with Type One diabetes. Like Treadwell, she was not deterred.
Moore remembers her daughter’s strong will: “She said in the ambulance on the way to Blair Batson, ‘I’m still going to Oxford, Momma – I still am!’ She wasn’t going to let this disease stop her from coming to root for her Rebels.”
True to her word, Stella was at the Egg Bowl 2015. However, she couldn’t attend the Sugar Bowl, but Moore made sure to take plenty of pictures and videos of her favorite players: Chad Kelly and Laquon Treadwell.
Moore said, “She still watches them over and over on my phone. She cried when she learned of Treadwell entering the draft, but wished him the best. She very sassily stated, ‘Kelly better stay put!'”
Moore is proud. Her daughter, Stella, gets what it means to be a Rebel fan. She said, “Hotty Toddy forever!”
