Oxford Crime Report for Thursday, January 21
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six alarms, two suspicious activities, two disturbances, a lost property, a careless driver, a welfare concern, an improper parking, a motorist assist, a credit card fraud, a petit larceny, a 911 hang up call, a civil matter, and a recovered property.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 37 traffic citations and made three arrests on the following charges:
Speeding and DUI
No seatbelt and possession of drug paraphernalia
Speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI
University police responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops, a vehicle accident on Hill Drive, a suspicious person at J.D. Williams Library, and a traffic assist at Union.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Light smoke at 3:40 a.m. at the Sigma Nu house – the fire department ventilated the area and found nothing
Water flow alarm activation at 11:41 p.m. by a water leak at a valve at The Hub
