School Closings: Lafayette County School District
Due to a threat of snow and ice on Friday, the Lafayette County School District has declared that they close school tomorrow.
As of date, there is no word from the Oxford School District, but they did send out a Tweet stating that in the case of inclement weather, parents will be informed by the caller ID OSD: 855-437-9242. Read more here.
According to the U.S. National Weather Service, there is a major winter storm warning for the Mid-South on Friday, Jan 22.
“A winter storm warning will go into effect for highlighted areas on the map at the times indicated. Heavy snow and significant snow accumulations are likely with this storm. This will make travel difficult to impossible on Friday at many locations.” -U.S. National Weather Service

Make sure you have a cell phone charger, first aid kit, jumper cables, spare tire, flares, full tank of gas, sand or kitty litter, tow rope, blankets, snow shovel and brush, flashlights, warm clothes and water and snacks!
