Oxford School District Has a New Caller ID Number for School Notifications
When the Oxford School District (OSD) calls to notify parents about important messages, such as inclement weather notifications or school emergency alerts, a new caller ID number will pop up for OSD: 855-437-9242.
If parents miss the phone call from the school district, they can simply call the new toll-free number back to retrieve the last notification their children’s school or district sent them.
Thanks to SchoolMessenger, school officials can also now notify parents via text messages and email alerts within minutes. When SchoolMessenger sends a text message to parents, the parents will receive an “opt-in” text message giving them the option to receive texts or not. Parents can respond with “Yes” to opt-in or “Stop” to no longer receive text messages. SchoolMessenger allows each parent to decide the easiest way they would like to receive notifications, by phone, email or text.
Parents, students and employees are encouraged to monitor the Oxford School District website online at www.oxfordsd.org and area media outlets for information concerning school closings or cancellations during inclement weather.
Any weather notifications and school updates will be shared through the district’s automated call system (phone messaging system SchoolMessenger), the district website, Facebook and Twitter (@OxfordSD) accounts, and the Oxford School District e-newsletter.
