Junior Auxilary’s Mardi Gras Ball: Let the Good Times Roll for a Great Cause
I hope you haven’t put up your dresses and sports coats just yet. ladies and gents of Oxford, because the Junior of Auxiliary of Oxford is hosting their fourth annual Charity Ball this Friday, January 22 at The Lyric in Oxford at 7:00 p.m.
If you are ready to begin celebrating Mardi Gras, but just can’t make it to New Orleans, then this will be the event to start off the Winter social season. This year’s ball has a Mardi Gras theme so it is a guaranteed good time but more importantly for a great cause.
Guests will be able to dance the evening away with entertainment from Nashville’s Music City Rhythm Revue. The event will also feature savory catering from Oxford’s own The Second Line and beer by Yalobusha Brewing Company. If you’re looking to enjoy some libations, then there will be a cash bar available for guests. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased in advance from any chapter member, Belles and Beaus or Ross Family Dental. Tickets can also be available for purchase at the door the day of the event.
For those not familiar with Junior Auxiliary, it is a national organization that was founded on the principles of helping children and making a difference in their lives. Through eleven projects detailed on the next page, Junior Auxiliary of Oxford is able to provide charitable services that are beneficial to the general public with particular emphasis on children. Please take time to read over the projects and determine which project you would like to financially support. You may make a donation without specifying a project. You will receive community recognition for your donation, but most importantly, you will change a child’s life.
The amazing women of the Junior Auxiliary work tremendous hours to give back to the community and children of Oxford. This is the sole fundraiser for them, so why not put on your dancing shoes for an amazing cause?
Guests will bid on some amazing live and silent auction items as well as a wine pull throughout the evening. I have been keeping up with some of the items for both the live and silent auction, and I hope you are ready because there will be a bidding war going on for everyone of these items:
