Yalobusha Brewing Company Introduces Brewing Tours Tasting and Tunes
Definitely worthy of a mention: Yalobusha Brewing Company in Water Valley recently started a really cool Friday program aptly titled Brewing Tours Tasting and Tunes, and its popularity is already beginning to be sealed in the North Mississippi area.
The event – only the second of its kind at the iconic brewery – features tours of the facility, beer tastings and now; music beginning at 6 p.m.
The kickoff event featured musician Andrew Bryant last Friday (January 8) and is being carried over this week featuring local favorite Jimbo Mathus and Them Dirty Crooks.
Although the weekly event begins at 1 p.m. and tours require a $10 fee, its music block is free of charge and begins early enough (6 p.m.) that attendees are guaranteed an early night. The $10 fee includes a tour of the unique brewery as well as six 6-ounce samples of Yalo beer – 36 awesome ounces in total. The brewery also allows patrons to bring food from any local restaurant if they wish.
Mathus and his band are scheduled to play until 9 p.m.
Yalobusha’s Facebook page announced the event earlier today by simply reaching out to the community with the succinct message: “Alright alright alright! Come see us this Friday and see our dear friend Jimbo and Them Dirty Crooks! Open 1-9 p.m. with music (taking place) from 6-9 p.m. See y’all there!!
Indeed you will, sir. Indeed you will.
