Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, January 13
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four alarms, three welfare concerns, two disturbances, two suspicious activities, two auto burglaries at Cash Saver and on Price Street, a credit card fraud, harassing phone calls, a careless driving, a noise violation, a fire department assist, a civil matter, a 911 hang up call, a civil matter and a scam.
Oxford police investigated six wrecks, issued 23 traffic citations and made two arrests on the following charges:
Careless driving, no insurance and DUI
Simple assault
University police responded to the following incidents: eight vehicle stops, a sexual battery off-campus, and a speeding with no insurance nor a car tag on University campus.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call:
Smoke detector malfunction at 3:59 a.m. at Phi Delta Theta house
