Oxford Crime Report: Monday, January 11
Kendrick Mathis – Commercial Burglary
On Monday, January 11, Oxford police investigators charged Kendrick Mathis (37 of Abbeville) with Commercial Burglary of Soul Food Kitchen. Witnesses identified Mathis as the burglar. Mathis was arrested and his bond was set at $10,00 but later revoked due to him being out on another felony bond.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six disturbances, five suspicious activities, three alarms, two welfare concerns, a simple assault, a credit card fraud, a petit larceny, an improper parking, and an animal complaint.
Oxford police investigated two wrecks, issued 40 traffic citations and made two arrests on the following charges:
Warrant served
No seatbelt, suspended driver’s license and no insurance
University police responded to the following incidents:
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call:
Smoke detector activated at 2:55 p.m. by use of a cutting torch at Oxford Diagnostic Center
