Oxford Crime Report: Friday – Sunday, January 8 – 10
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 16 suspicious activities, 13 alarms, eight welfare concerns, five disturbances, four improper parking, four careless driving, three simple assaults, two shoplifting, two noise violations, two credit card frauds, two harassing phone calls, two petit larcenies, two shoplifting, a grand larceny, a motorist assist, a 911 hang up call, a littering, a code violation, a malicious mischief, a lost property, and a burglary at McLarty Road
Oxford police investigated 11 wrecks, issued 51 traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges:
DUI
Shoplifting
Warrant served
Domestic violence
Careless driving and DUI
Public intoxication, resisting arrest and fake ID
Obstructing traffic, no driver’s license and no insurance
Following too close, no driver’s license, careless driving and DUI
