Helping ring in a Lafayette County New year, Oxford’s favorite art and crafts market, Maker’s Market, will set up for its first sale of the year at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center on University Avenue.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, January 2, from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m., is expecting at least 35 vendors for this, its first sale of 2016. Also scheduled are a children’s art market, the Yoknapataco food truck and live music beginning at noon featuring the husband and wife duo, The Kites.

Market organizers would like to reiterate that it is their practice to allow first-time vendors, non-profits and fundraising organizations to participate in the monthly event free of charge.
Artists or musicians interested in learning more about Oxford Maker’s Market are encouraged to visit oxfordmakermarket.org or contact them by email at oxfordmakersmarket@gmail.com. The market can also be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/OxfordMakersMarket
Each monthly Maker’s Market is a family-friendly event and is free and open to the public.
