Nkemdiche Suspended for Sugar Bowl
Ole Miss junior All-American Robert Nkemdiche will be suspended for the Sugar Bowl game against Oklahoma State.
This decision comes after the incident that occurred after Nkemdiche fell from a hotel building, and the Atlanta Police Department said they found drugs in his hotel room in Atlanta last weekend.
Coach Hugh Freeze released a statement Sunday morning.
“Last week, our Athletics Director and I informed Robert that he will not be joining us for the bowl game. In addition, Robert has decided to declare for the NFL Draft, and we will continue to support him as he prepares for the next chapter in his life. I look forward to sharing with NFL general managers and scouts what a unique and talented individual he is. Robert has made an immeasurable impact on our program, and we are forever indebted to him. He and his family will always be part of the Ole Miss family.”
Nkemdiche will declare for the upcoming NFL draft which will end his college career.

Funny that this decision was made the day after The Clarion Ledger made their Facebook question for the day “Should RN be suspended for the Sugar Bowl”? Of course, the facebook community was all for suspension so OM had to follow the facebook decision.

We all know that Nkimdeche is going pro. What about Tredwell and Kelly? If Nkimdeche is all we are losing, we’re still gonna be odds on favorite to win the west. If we lose em all, well, it’s a good thing we have the #1 recruiting class in the nation. Either way, go Rebels. Coach Freeze has done an amazing job thus far (Memphis game excluded) and I hope he is here to stay. God bless you all and Merry Christmas from Booneville, Mississippi.
